Our Mares

Our first
female was the weanling daughter of Ashmael from Tristram Purette,
Ramadan Arabian Shekinah. Tristram Purette was one of the most
beautiful mares we had ever seen, her dam was the famous Abelya, a dam
of champions including the Australian champion Tristam Apparition. The grey Asmael / Tristram Purette filly was exquisite
and compounded our vision of breeding classical, bold moving Arabians.
Our quest
for a foundation mare that would suit Ashmael and conform with our
ideals, was fulfilled when we the beautiful Ralvon Nativity (
Ralvon Pilgrim x Ralvon Ritana).
The
extravagant classical movement of the Arabian has always been a
characteristic that we particularly admire and in all our breeding
decisions a major criterion. Not only was Ralvon Nativity extremely
beautiful, she was the best moving horse we had ever seen.
Her famous
sire was the international champion
Ralvon Pilgrim , her mother Ralvon
Ritana .

We
first saw Ralvon Nativity visiting Ian Begaud of Kerabian Stud.
Ralvon Nativity took our breath away. She was very excited and
galloping around, her trot was amazing, all feet seemed to be off
the ground together. Typical of the Ralvon Pilgrim line, she floated
effortlessly, typifying the Arabian movement with her tail flag
like, nostrils large and snorting.
Beauty, both physical and spirit, sometimes goes hand in hand.
Nativity was a very beautiful mare, also her character epitomised
the Arabian legends of the gentle, sensitive mare so beloved by the
Bedouin tribesmen. I often described Nativity as being “light” to
handle, she was extremely responsive and easy to lead and handle. In
some ways her “lightness” seemed almost fragile, however to see her
showing off, either running about in the paddock or arena, could
only be described as “mighty”. She was a powerhouse in her movement.
